I think that Authentic Assessment is a good idea. It helps the teacher know if their students fully understand the concepts. With the NCLB Act, it's important that all of the students fully understand the concepts.
This is an important fact that I don't think anyone else has mentioned. Thank you for incorporating NCLB. You're right we do need to make sure that our students are all understanding the information and through authentic assessment we can provide more solid answers as to whether they are really getting it.
